Switchboard Operator/Patient Registration 40 hr

Job Type Full-timeDescriptionStatus Hours-40 hrsCary Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Switchboard Operator/Patient Registration to work join our Switchboard team.
The successful applicant is responsible to recognize and execute all functions necessary to receive and distribute calls, complete required reports, handle emergencies and acts as a consultant to customers coming into the hospital.
Essential Duties:
1.
Courteously and effectively receives and distributes telephone communications.
2.
Directs traffic and questions for patients and outside sources.
3.
Keeps an accurate detail of all inpatients.
4.
Maintain and report, as requested, on-going logs, staffing meeting minutes, etc.
5.
Be familiar with all Switchboard daily functions.
RequirementsEducation, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
1.
High School Diploma or G.
E.
D.
2.
Must have excellent telephone etiquette.
3.
Type at least 30 WPM with accuracy.
Requirements:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
