Sound like you? If so, we would love to meet you!THE DAY TO DAY FOR A VOLUNTEER AND EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT SPECIALISTAs a Volunteer and Employment Placement Specialist, your primary objective is to foster engagement among our program participants.
You use your warm and approachable demeanor to establish trust and rapport with participants as well as build enduring relationships with employers and non-profit organizations within the community.
By cultivating these connections, you identify ongoing volunteer and employment opportunities that align with participants' vocational evaluations, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) work requirements, and any necessary accommodations.
Staying organized, you utilize our Fedcap CARES program to generate reports and analyze data that will inform your daily and weekly tasks.
Through this approach, you identify and secure Work Experience Program (WEP) assignments and employment opportunities that match participants' skills and interests, ultimately facilitating their attainment of jobs that require at least thirty hours per week of work.
You also serve as a liaison between our nonprofit and our partners in the community, ensuring that nonprofit organizations and employers are satisfied with their volunteers or new hires.
You plan and execute hiring and retention events, as well as on-site employer panels.
Throughout the process, you maintain meticulous records and documentation to track working participants' progress and validate retention benchmarks at thirty, ninety, and one hundred and eighty days.
