About Noyes Flower & Plant Shoppe:
For 45 years, Noyes Flower and Plant Shoppe has been at the center of an incredible and vibrant community in Northern Maine.
Through commitment to its customers, the business continues to excel, always going the extra mile to brighten the days of the people that have made it successful.
The greenhouse was built in 1919 and we have proudly been named as a Top Ten Garden/Nursery Center In ME.
The florist, greenhouse, and gift shop have a longstanding track record, with a deep and loyal customer base.
Annual highlights include the flower shop's Christmas open house, a community celebration of the holiday season.
Our family business moved to its current location about thirty years ago, but for seventy years before that the building existed as a flower shop under a different owner.
The family that owned the building previously bought a series of animatronic elves, reindeer, penguins, and even a polar bear.
The life-size figures were originally built and purchased in the 1950s, and have been gracing the windows of our Franklin Street location for nearly sixty years.
Year after year, elves build toys for children, reindeer attend to mending Santa's suit, and a penguin and a polar bear somehow cohabitate in a wintery wonderland in our windows.
From late November to Christmas Day, families drive past the windows in their cars and look with wonder at the beautiful scenes.
We once had a conversation with a woman who told us that she used to visit the windows of the flower shop with her grandmother when she was just a child.
She then introduced us to her own granddaughter who was looking on at the elves with amazement.
