Summary:
Performs all procedures germane to the practice of Respiratory Care as well as those procedures related to Cardiac DiagnosticsEssential Duties:
1Perform respiratory care evaluations in a timely manner and make appropriate recommendations for therapy; and recommendations to the physician regarding alternate modalities when the patient is unable to tolerate or comprehend the prescribed therapy2Administer therapy with supplies and equipment that are appropriate to the age, development and comfort of the patient3Communicate effectively with patents of all ages and degrees of illness 4Respiratory therapy modalities are administered according to standard department procedure5Evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic modalities; make recommendations to physicians regarding alternative methods of therapy, when appropriateRequirements License Requirements:
1CRT, Certified Respiratory Therapist (National Board for Respiratory Care) 2Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the State of Maine as a Certified Respiratory Therapist Availability Requirements:
Depending on department staffing needs, you may be asked to work nights, weekends, and holidaysAlso must take call on a rotating basis with other staff membersEducation, Skills,
Experience:
1Completion of technical or trade program2Graduate of JRCRTE accredited therapist program3Computer skills required as related to diagnostic equipment4Must maintain BLS certificationRequirements:
